CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE, CHANGE YOUR LIFE
A 90-minute virtual gathering for women
Sunday, October 11th · 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern · $48 · Just 20 spots
What if nothing about your life needed to change, and only the place you're looking from did?
I've been thinking a lot lately about how we see ourselves. Not how we look. How we see. The angle we're always standing at when we take ourselves in. The same angle, year after year, until it starts to feel like the only one there is.
Here's what I've come to believe. The woman you've been describing to yourself all this time isn't quite the one who's actually there. She's kinder, braver, funnier, softer around the edges. She's been there the whole time. You've just been standing in the wrong spot to see her.
Picture the chair you always sit in.
The one that's molded to you by now. From that chair, you know your room by heart. Where the light falls in the afternoon. The corner that always feels a little dim. The picture that's slightly crooked and you've stopped noticing.
Now imagine getting up, just once, and walking to the window.
Nothing moved. The couch is still the couch. And yet the whole room is different. The dim corner has a little light in it after all. The crooked picture is kind of charming from here.
That's all perspective is. Not changing your life. Just standing somewhere new inside it.
On October 4th, we'll get up out of the chair together.
How our time together will go
I'll welcome you in with a few breaths and some tea. Bring your own, I'll have mine.
We'll start with a couple of simple written exercises, the kind that make you quietly go "oh" while you're writing. You'll take one thing in your life that's felt stuck for far too long and look at it through three brand new sets of eyes.
Then you'll settle back into your chair, maybe with a blanket over your lap and a cup of tea beside you, and I'll guide you through a gentle, dreamy, slightly magical hypnotic journey. It will take you somewhere you've never been, so you can look back at yourself from there. It's the softest way I know to meet yourself the way someone who loves you does. If you've been curious about hypnotherapy, this is a lovely first taste.
Afterward we'll journal, and anyone who wants to can share a single sentence. No breakout rooms. No putting anyone on the spot. Just twenty of us, or fewer, faces on screen, in a soft circle.
And before we part, I'll give you a tiny ten-second practice you can carry with you for the rest of your life.
What you'll walk away with
A completely new way of seeing one thing in your life that's felt stuck. Not because the thing changed. Because you did.
The experience of meeting yourself through loving eyes, and feeling it in your body, not just understanding it in your head.
Your first taste of hypnotherapy, in the gentlest way possible.
A little perspective anchor, a gesture and a phrase, that brings you back to that view in ten seconds flat. In the car. In the kitchen. In the middle of a hard conversation.
A simple 7-day practice to keep it alive after we say goodbye.
And a quiet knowing I wish I'd had years ago: the view was always yours to choose.
This is for you if...
You've been telling yourself the same story about one corner of your life for a very long time.
You're so generous with everyone else, and the woman in the mirror is still waiting for her turn.
You keep waiting for things to change before you let yourself feel differently.
You're curious about hypnotherapy and the softer, dreamier ways of working with the mind, and you'd like to try it somewhere gentle, with someone who won't rush you.
You just want a Sunday afternoon that feels like exhaling.
There's nothing about you that needs fixing. I don't believe in that. I believe in remembering. And I think you might remember something wonderful about yourself that day.
A little about me
I'm Alison. I spent 27 years as a makeup artist in film, watching the same face become someone entirely new with nothing more than a shift in the light or a step to the left. It taught me something I now build my whole life around: you are not one fixed picture. You're a whole room full of angles.
These days I'm a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, a Certified Master Transformational Coach, and a Reiki Master, and I work with women who are ready to see themselves through kinder, truer eyes. My work is soft, a little whimsical, and rooted in one belief: no one is broken, and my job is never to fix you. It's to remind you of your own greatness and gently walk you back to it.
The details
When: Sunday, October 4th, 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern
Where: Zoom, from a comfy chair with good lighting. The link comes with your confirmation.
How long: 90 minutes
Investment: $48
Group size: 20 women, no more
Setting up your little corner: Find a comfortable chair, the kind you can really settle into, in a spot with soft, good light on your face. Have your journal and pen, water or tea, and a blanket for your lap if you like. Join from a laptop or tablet if you can, since we'll be talking, writing, and sharing together. This is a real circle, not a webinar. And because our journey together is hypnosis, I'll want to see your face throughout, so cameras stay on. It's how I take care of you.
One small thing before we gather: When you reserve your spot, you'll receive an email with a short intake form from me. Please fill it out and send it back as soon as you can. I need it in hand before the workshop so I can hold the space well for you, and it's how I get to know a little about who's joining me in the circle.
A few questions I've been asked
What if I can't visualize?
Some people see pictures. Some sense things. Some just hear the words and feel something quietly shift. Every one of those is the right way. You don't need to be good at this. You just need to show up and let me do the guiding.
Is this hypnosis? Will I lose control?
The journey is a gentle hypnotic experience, and no, you never lose control. Hypnosis is simply a relaxed, focused state, a lot like being absorbed in a good book. You'll hear everything, you can open your eyes at any time, and you're the one steering the whole way through.
Do I need my camera on?
Yes, please. Because part of our time together is a hypnotic journey, I need to be able to see your face so I can guide you gently and safely. It's the same care I'd give you in a one-on-one session. Sharing out loud is always your choice, but your camera stays on, and you'll be sitting in a comfy chair rather than lying down so you stay present with me.
Can I join from my phone?
No, you will needa laptop or tablet. We'll be writing, chatting, and seeing each other's faces, and a bigger screen makes you feel part of the circle instead of peeking in through a keyhole.
Why is there an intake form?
Because I take good care of the women I work with. The form is short, it's private, and it helps me make sure this gathering is the right fit for you and that I can guide you thoughtfully. It needs to be returned before the workshop, so please send it back as soon as you receive it.
Is this therapy?
No. I am not a Therapist or Doctor. This is a workshop, a gentle experience for women.
What if I can't make it live?
Because this is an intimate live circle, it won't be recorded. Please choose a date you can be fully present for. If you can't make this one, there will be more.
Same room. New eyes.
Sunday, October 11th. 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern. $48.
